Ecoquest International has its headquarters based in Greeneville, Tennessee, and is headed by William Converse. The company was founded in the year 2000, and is basically an offshoot of Alpine Technologies, formerly Alpine Industries. Their global mission is to bring clean air, pure water, and alternative energy to families everywhere. Ecoquest does offer a good variety of products from nutrition, skin care, personal care, sports drinks, and air and water filters, and they hold the exclusive marketing rights to products from Alpine Technologies, a company founded by William Converse in 1986.

Converse wanted to focus more on research and development in water and air filtration, and broke off from Alpine Technologies in 2000. The break up has not hurt either of the companies, as both have had tremendous success and high growth rates since. Distributors are provided with training at all levels, and large weekend functions occur thru out the year and attended by thousands.

Ecoquest International does seem to have a pretty impressive nutrition line, and they provide some really good testimonials from highly visible sports figures and other personalities. Their Infinity2 line of nutritionals was being used by players on both the New York Yankees and the Arizona Diamondbacks for the 2001 World Series, and even the Russian Minister of Health selected Infinity2's LifeForce Super Antioxidant for the children of Chernobyl because of its superior ability to fight free radicals. The company also offers a "Living Water" product, which they claim to be the healthiest water purification system on the planet, and another product called "Wind Tree", which is used as a home based, roof mounted, horizontal wind energy system that provides most if not all the energy needed for your use. Power companies are required to pay you a rebate for using a product like this.

Even though they do have some pretty interesting products, the company has gotten themselves into trouble with the FTC, which always seems to be hungry for blood! In 2001, they were unanimously found guilty by a federal jury for making health benefit claims for some of its products, and fined $1.49 million plus interest. Not a death sentence by any means, as many companies have found themselves in the same kind of trouble with the FTC.

However, Ecoquest International also uses a traditional network marketing method with meetings, prospecting, phone calls, and further almost mandatory advanced training, and if you decide to give this business a try you WILL experience lots of disappointment, frustration, and rejection along the way. This is almost a guarantee with traditional network marketing, and most people are unprepared for the rigors involved and eventually drop out. There really IS a much better way…
