Nikken is a Japanese MLM company that originated in 1975, but did not make it to America until 1989. They have a company philosophy which is centered around the 5 Pillars of Health - Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Family, Healthy Society, and Healthy Finances. Prevention is the focus here, and they try to keep you healthy and thus strengthen your immune system to ward off any diseases. Nikken pays attention to 4 interrelated areas: rest and relaxation, nutrition, environment, and fitness. Each one of their wellness products is designed to address one or more of these areas.

The products include a "sleeping system", air and water purifiers, fitness shoes, skin therapy, and nutrition supplements. Nikken has a 5A1 rating by Dun & Bradstreet, does 1.5 billion in annual retail sales, and has hundreds of thousands of active distributors. Network marketing is very big in Japan, and the company has expanded pretty much world wide, with distributors in every corner of the globe. One product that they really promote is "therapeutic magnets". These are magnets that can be placed on your body at various locations to help control or direct the magnetic flow inside you to heal your ailments. Kind of a novel idea, but there really is no proof that they work, and some studies even say the contrary.

You can become a distributor for around $49.95 for Nikken's sales kit, but the company recommends that you also purchase the Demo Pak and the Career Pak so that you can perform demonstrations and have all the tools necessary to build a big business. It's not the cheapest business that you can start, and there are better options. There are many successful distributors in Nikken, and you can make money with this system. But you will need to overcome certain objections such as the usefulness of the therapeutic magnets and to become very knowledgeable in that area.

However, Nikken also uses a traditional network marketing method with meetings, prospecting, phone calls, and further almost mandatory advanced training, and if you decide to give this business a try you WILL experience lots of disappointment, frustration, and rejection along the way. This is almost a guarantee with traditional network marketing, and most people are unprepared for the rigors involved and eventually drop out. There really IS a much better way…
