The World Financial Group (WFG) is a company headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, and a member of the AEGON Group, which is one of the leading insurance, pension, and related financial services organizations. WFG operates as a reseller of financial services such as annuities, mutual funds, IRA's, and so on. The unique and unusual thing about this is that they operate as a multi level marketing company in terms of their agents, or distributor force. They do not focus on only one company's products or financial services, but instead they sell several companies in order to give the client a variety of different options. They claim it's because they want to try and fit the client into a product, and not the product into the client.

World Financial Group provides access to training programs for new associates because they are required to obtain their insurance licenses and securities registration before they are eligible to sell the products. Distributors have 24 hour access to the Professional Development Center (PDC), which is an automated one-stop shop for everything they need to know to get their business off to a great start. Training does not stop here, as there are many opportunities for advanced training through out the year also. The new distributor trainee does have to pay a membership fee with further expenses of course and licensing fees, in order to get certified.

WFG is a sponsor of NASCAR, and gets good name recognition from that. They also believe in rewarding its top distributors thru programs that offer free trips to exotic locations around the world, or a new Mercedes. The big attraction to WFG is that you can become your own boss and work for yourself and set the hours that you want to work. There are other incentives, such as stock options and a stock purchase plan. World Financial Group bills itself as a company dedicated to serving the financial needs of individuals and families that would otherwise be overlooked and thus provides a much needed service. With them, you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself, and they claim to offer great support to its distributor force.

For someone who really just wants another job but with them in charge, this may be a good proposition. However, it doesn't address what most people are really looking for and that is true financial independence where taking a 2 month vacation to Australia would not affect their income at all. In fact, ideally their income should go up in a situation like that. There aren't many opportunities like that out there, but there is one…
